Mia’s shorts

Beskrivelse

Her er et par shorts i farver og striber, der kan have lige den længde af bukseben, du ønsker. Eller det kan blive til lange bukser, hvis du fortsætter med at strikke! Shortsene er strikket med en løbegang i livet til en i-cord-snøre eller et bånd i en cool kontrastfarve.

Størrelse: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL)

Livvidde: 66 (76) 86 (96) 106 (116) cm målt på shortsene.

Garn: 1 tråd merino i Önling No 4 (50 g = 200 m) og 2 tråde mohair i Önling No 10 (25 g = 210 m). Der strikkes med 3 tråde samtidig. Vi har brugt 6 forskellige farver og kombineret dem. Du kan sagtens bruge flere eller færre, og det gør shortsene til et super godt restegarnprojekt. Vælg dine helt egne yndlingsfarver, og sæt dem sammen, som du vil. Du skal bare ramme nogenlunde samme tykkelse i garntråd, men så kan du også matche med en masse andre slags garner.

Garnforbrug: Mængderne er anvisende og afhænger af, hvor lange ben du strikker.

Farve A: Ca. 10 (15) 15 (20) 20 (20) g merino og 7 (7) 10 (15) 15 (15) g mohair.

Farve B: Ca. 15 (15) 20 (25) 25 (25) g merino og 15 (15) 20 (25) 25 (25) g mohair.

Farve C/D/E/F: Ca. 25 (25) 30 (35) 40 (50) g merino og 20 (20) 25 (30) 35 (40) g mohair af hver farve.

Pindstørrelse: Rundpind 4 mm og 4,5 mm (40 og 60-80 cm). Evt. strømpepinde 4,5 mm, hvis du ikke vil strikke med magic loop-teknikken.

Strikkefasthed: 10 cm × 10 cm = 16 (13) m × 24 (20) p i glatstrik på p 4,5 mm.

Teknikker: Udtagninger, både h-udt og v-udt  German Short Rows, forkortes GSR og maskesting.

Shortsene strikkes oppefra og ned. Der strikkes først rundt i glatstrik, hvor buksebagen formes med vendepinde, de såkaldte German Short Rows (forkortes GSR). For at lave forskellige farvede striber på højre og venstre ben deles arbejdet op og syes så sammen til sidst.

 

ENGLISH VERSION

Here is a pair of shorts in colors and stripes, with leg lengths exactly as long as you like. You can even turn them into long trousers if you simply keep knitting. The shorts are worked with a drawstring casing at the waist for an i-cord or a ribbon in a cool contrasting color.

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL)

Waist circumference: 66 (76) 86 (96) 106 (116) cm measured on the shorts.

Yarn: 1 strand of merino in Önling No. 4 (50 g = 200 m) and 2 strands of mohair in Önling No. 10 (25 g = 210 m). The work is knitted with 3 strands held together throughout.

We used 6 different colors and combined them. You can easily use more or fewer colors, making these shorts an excellent stash-busting project. Choose your own favorite colors and combine them as you like. Just aim for roughly the same thickness of yarn, and you can also mix in many other types of yarn.

Yarn usage: The quantities are approximate and depend on the length of the legs.

Color A: approx. 10 (15) 15 (20) 20 (20) g merino and 7 (7) 10 (15) 15 (15) g mohair

Color B: approx. 15 (15) 20 (25) 25 (25) g merino and 15 (15) 20 (25) 25 (25) g mohair

Color C/D/E/F: approx. 25 (25) 30 (35) 40 (50) g merino and 20 (20) 25 (30) 35 (40) g mohair of each color

Needles: Circular needles 4 mm and 4.5 mm (40 and 60–80 cm).
Optional 4.5 mm double-pointed needles if you prefer not to use the magic loop method.

Gauge: 10 × 10 cm = 16 (13) sts × 24 (20) rows in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles.

Techniques:
Increases (M1R and M1L), German Short Rows (abbreviated GSR), and Kitchener stitch.

The shorts are worked top-down. First, the work is knitted in the round in stockinette stitch, with the back shaped using short rows (German Short Rows, GSR). To create different colored stripes on the right and left legs, the work is divided and later sewn together.
